The posts usually start with how disappointed the sister is with dating this generation of men, to how men don’t call anymore and some variation of hopeless memes about him not being “the one.”

The purpose of dating is to evaluate the suitability of another for a potential life long commitment. So when you date yourself, you’re essentially evaluating whether you’re prepared to enter into a commitment with someone else.
