Meet Our Woman Crush, Kierstin Johnson

Updated: Jun 10

This month we are crushing on the woman with the killer cheekbones, Kierstin Johnson!

Kierstin and I met at work, go figure! So far, I have had the pleasure of working with all my woman crushes! At this point, I am convinced that this whole year will feature all of my past colleagues!

Working with Kierstin was so much fun. We would get tipsy on our lunches and she would inspire me to not be afraid to use my voice! I love how she carries herself, how knowledgable she is and her continuous efforts to making this world a better place! So this month, I wanted to shed some light on her and find out what she is doing and plan on doing during her single season.

What have you learned about yourself in the last year?

This year I’ve learned that I can do anything I want. I can control all outcomes through thoughts, actions and prayer. A bad attitude can really set you back and it was time to let that go.

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

In the next five years I rather not say. You can make plans but the mind changes constantly. I’m just gonna ride it out.

How are you accomplishing your goals?

For me traditional ways to accomplish goals or create plans just don’t work for me. I visualize a lot, I pray a lot, and ask myself what I fully want from the situation and from there the universe helps me decipher which goals are meant to be accomplished and which would deter my path to head elsewhere. Every decision puts you closer or further from your goals and dreams. So a lot of completing my goals is simply figuring out which ones really matter enough to get me to my end goals.

What’s your love language?

My love language is pretty much all five of them in varying degrees. My mood and personality change daily and what worked yesterday wont necessarily work for me the next. It’s important that if ever I’m in a relationship someone can understand my personality enough to decipher which is needed but also open enough to simply ask me what I want as well.

How do you practice self love?

I practice self love by putting myself in isolation. Me time is extremely important to me. I need space no matter how close I am to anyone. Self love for me is simply me being around myself doing whatever I want to do for me and me only and on my an terms. As long as I’m alone, it’s me time and that’s my self love.

What advice would you give women who are struggling being content during their single life?

The only advice I would give is to be sure you’re ready to give what you’re so much wanting to receive. Sometimes we haven’t even asked ourselves what we truly want and if we can give those exact things back to someone else. Explore you, date you, have fun with you before you think about someone else in your life.
